Role Overview
Our team is in need of a Electro/Mechanical Assembler II with 1-3 years in the electro-mechanical assembly field. This position will at first be pay-rolled through a temp agency. This position is M-F, in-house, 7:00AM-3:30PM and the starting rate range is $22-24/hr.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of semi-repetitive operations to assemble precision electromechanical products where methods and sequence of assembly are described by production planning or detailed written instructions.
- Read connection diagrams.
- Work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process.
- Assemble fabricated parts to relatively small or light subassemblies and complete units.
- May perform sub-assembly tests to meet tolerances and product specifications.
- Use hand tools and small power tools to assemble units; sets up and adjusts accordingly.
- Dripping and tapping skills; familiar with use of squares, levels, and calipers.
- May interface with engineering and quality departments.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- May require computer to record work in process.
- Read assembly drawings.
- Familiar with ESD.
- Performs peer inspections.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clear, orderly condition that follows prescribed safety regulations.
