Engineering Technician II

We are adding an Engineering Technician to our Engineering dept.  Candidates should have an Associate's Degree in an engineering discipline or High School diploma from a technical trade school; 5+ years of manufacturing engineering tech experience, preferably in the semiconductor, biotech, or capital equipment manufacturing industries. Also required is 3D CAD modeling experience, and experience reading schematics and P&ID diagrams.   • Work alongside engineers to design, build, and test solutions to a variety of technical problems
  • Conduct assessments of existing or proposed manufacturing processes to provide improvement opportunities to increase production efficiencies, eliminate waste, reduce inventory, reduce lead times, and increase quality
  • Review schematics and provide technical input to customers for manufacturability
  • Recommend design changes to products based on manufacturing floor feedback
  • Process product change notifications to alert customer base of proposed design changes
  • Act as a technical resource for the manufacturing floor
  • Produce CAD drawings and store them into the Dakota vault database for future access
  • Review and implement redlines to improve production efficiencies
  • Generate BOM’s from customer specifications and drawings
  • Generate written work instructions, process control procedures, and operating procedures
  • Develop fixtures and manufacturing aids to reduce cycle times for routine task
  • Justify and purchase equipment/tooling to improve or implement manufacturing processes
  • Establish appropriate methods, tools, equipment, etc. required to produce products
  • Provide input to Bills of Material and routing as necessary to maintain inventory control, efficiency goals, and financial controls
  • Identify constraints in operational processes; suggests recommended countermeasures to trouble shoot problems
